The Pārbati Stage II Hydroelectric venture (800 MW) is situated in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh about 260 kilometer from Chandigarh. The nearest rail head are at Kiratpur, which will be 192 kilometers away. The task comprises of a 85 yards high concrete gravity dam across river Pārbati only downstream regarding the confluence of Pārbati River and Tosh Nallah, 31.52 kilometers long 6 yards diameter Head Race Runnel, two force shafts of diameter 3.5 yards, size 2, 150 yards and 2, 133 meters including 1, 546 yards inclined portion in each shaft and area Power House containing four Pelton Turbines Generating units of 200 MW each.

CALTROP supplied supervision and refurbishments made to the tunnel-boring device (TBM), including PLC and VFD ($2.5 million). Providers included advising your client on correct forms of tunnel assistance for the TBM and Drill and Blast (D&B) drives. We assisted the contractor on modifications toward TBM for increased output and assisted to quickly attain a successful grouting program, which will include ruthless injection (150 club plus).
